Massive Pressure Cooker Recall Issued Nationwide Over Burn Risk

Over 900,000 Insignia pressure cookers, sold at Best Buy and Amazon from October 2017 to June 2023, have been recalled nationwide due to a burn hazard. The pressure cookers have incorrect volume markings on the inner pot, which can cause hot food and liquids to be ejected when vented or opened, resulting in potential injury. Best Buy has received 31 reports of this malfunction, leading to 17 cases of severe burns. Consumers are advised to stop using the product and contact Best Buy for a free replacement of the inner pot and floating lock valve.
