Amazon driver charged with elder abuse after gas-station confrontation

An Amazon delivery driver, Terrence Wheeler, 30, of Antioch, is charged with felony elder abuse, felony criminal threats, and misdemeanor battery after allegedly confronting and striking a 72-year-old man at an Elk Grove gas station over a parking spot; video shows the attack, Wheeler turned himself in, and his next court date is Sept. 24. Amazon says he was working for an independent contractor and is no longer eligible to deliver Amazon packages; a $10 million civil suit has been filed.
