Elizabeth Holmes denied request to stay out of prison during appeal

Elizabeth Holmes, former CEO of Theranos, has been denied her request to stay out of prison on bail by Judge Edward Davila. Holmes is expected to go to prison on April 27 for more than 11 years after being found guilty on four fraud counts. Despite her lawyers' attempts to delay her incarceration, it's unlikely her appeal to the 9th Circuit Court will succeed. Theranos, once a hot-shot Silicon Valley startup worth more than $9 billion, claimed to revolutionize the medical field but its technology never worked.
