"FAFSA Update: Addressing Calculation Errors and Institutional Student Information Record Delivery"

The U.S. Department of Education has processed over 1.5 million FAFSA applications for the 2024-25 academic year and delivered ISIRs to schools, states, and scholarship organizations. An issue affecting the calculation of Student Aid Index for dependent students with assets has been identified and resolved, with affected ISIRs to be reprocessed. The Department is providing resources and support for institutions and vendors to process ISIRs and prepare aid packages, including a Technical FAQ and Known Issues Guide, a webinar, and contact information for technical assistance.
