Starbucks Workers Nationwide Strike for LGBTQ+ Rights and Better Benefits

Starbucks workers in North Texas have joined a nationwide strike protesting against the alleged removal of Pride Month decorations at some stores. Over 3,000 workers at more than 150 stores across the country have participated in the strike, accusing Starbucks of unfair labor practices and failure to negotiate changes to the company's decoration policies. The Starbucks Workers United union claims that the company is attempting to silence LGBTQ+ partners and intimidate workers. Starbucks denies any policy changes and has filed a labor complaint against the union. The Flower Mound location, which has unionized, is striking in solidarity with affected stores. The workers are also seeking collective bargaining with the company.
