Defense Requests Trial Delay for Bankman-Fried Due to Adderall Dependency

Lawyers for Sam Bankman-Fried, former FTX CEO, have requested a delay in his criminal trial, stating that he urgently needs his prescribed Adderall to concentrate and participate meaningfully in his defense. Bankman-Fried, who is facing charges that could result in a life sentence, has been unable to access his medication while in custody. His defense team has appealed to the court to provide him with his prescribed dose before trial proceedings. The defense has also attempted to resolve the issue with the Bureau of Prisons but has received no response. Bankman-Fried's psychiatrist has warned that without his medication, he will experience a return of his depression and ADHD symptoms, severely impacting his ability to assist in his own defense.
