Elizabeth Holmes Continues to Delay Prison Sentence with Appeals.

Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, has delayed the start of her 11.25-year prison sentence by appealing to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. She was previously ordered to report to prison on April 27, but her appeal has pushed back the date. Holmes and her ex-boyfriend and former top deputy at Theranos, Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani, were indicted in 2018 for defrauding investors of the failed blood-testing startup. Balwani's appeal was denied, and he began serving his 13-year sentence for 12 criminal fraud charges last week.
