Amazon's $120 Million Florida Facility to Prepare Kuiper Internet Satellites for Launch

Amazon plans to invest $120 million in building a satellite processing facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida for its Project Kuiper internet network. The facility will prepare the satellites for launch, with the first production satellites expected to be processed in early 2025. Project Kuiper aims to create a network of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit to provide global high-speed internet access. Amazon has already booked 77 launches to deploy the satellites and hopes to launch its first two prototypes in the coming months, pending the readiness of the rocket they will ride on.
