Brett Winton, chief futurist at Cathie Wood's ARK Investment Management, criticized the pricing of Apple's Vision Pro headset, saying it is difficult to see spatial computing becoming the dominant paradigm over the next couple of years. Winton compared the device to Meta Platforms' Quest Pro and said the Vision Pro is about 50% more expensive, despite not offering a significant improvement in visual immersion. He also noted that a $1,000 Vision Pro quality headset is still about five years away, making it hard to see spatial computing becoming mainstream anytime soon.
