Archer unveils electric air taxi at LA Live as downtown vertiport plans loom for 2028 Olympics

Archer Aviation and AEG unveiled a four-passenger, all-electric Midnight air taxi at LA Live as part of plans to build a downtown vertiport network ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games. The aircraft has a 100‑mile range but awaits FAA approval; feasibility work is complete and the next phase will address operations and guest experience. Archer’s LA network will connect with planned vertiports at SoFi Stadium, USC, Hollywood Burbank Airport, and Hawthorne Airport as the central hub, with LA28 naming Archer as its official air taxi provider.
