"Comcast Uncovers Massive Data Breach Impacting Millions of Xfinity Customers"

Comcast has notified approximately 35.9 million Xfinity customers of a security breach that occurred in October, potentially exposing personal data. The breach was a result of unauthorized access to internal systems due to a vulnerability in a software product used by Xfinity. While usernames and hashed passwords were compromised, additional customer information such as names, contact details, partial Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and secret questions and answers may have also been accessed. Comcast is urging customers to reset their passwords and enroll in two-factor or multifactor authentication to enhance security.
