Disney+ to Begin Crackdown on Password Sharing in June

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced plans to crack down on password sharing for Disney Plus, with the rollout starting in June in select countries and expanding to all subscribers by September. Subscribers suspected of improper sharing will be prompted to sign up for their own subscription, and they will also have the option to add members outside their household for an additional fee. The move is part of Disney's efforts to increase engagement and profitability in its streaming business, which includes the recent launch of a combined Disney Plus and Hulu app.
