FBI warns against public charging and USB ports

The FBI has warned against using public USB ports or charging kiosks to charge phones, as hackers can use these ports to install malware and spyware on devices, a practice known as "juice jacking." Hackers can gain access to personal information, including credit card numbers and photos, and can monitor devices for days, weeks, or even months. To avoid being hacked, the FCC recommends using traditional power outlets, bringing your own chargers and USB cables, using a portable charger or external battery, and using charging-only cables. The FBI also recommends using strong and unique passwords for online accounts.
