Fire Chief's Warning: Robotaxis Pose Threat to First Responders.

San Francisco Fire Chief Jeanine Nicholson has expressed concerns over the expansion of robotaxi services by Waymo and Cruise, citing public safety issues. The companies are planning to expand their services throughout the entire city, in any kind of weather, day or night. Nicholson has reported at least 39 robotaxi incidents since January 1, including blocking firehouse driveways and interfering with emergency vehicles. City leaders in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Santa Monica are worried about the rapid expansion of robotaxis, which they say are being allowed to move too fast and break things.
