GM Enhances Full-Size Trucks with 5.7L and 6.6L V8s for 2027 Silverado/Sierra

TL;DR
GM has unveiled two sixth-generation Small-Block V8s for the 2027 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500: a 5.7-liter L76 with 402 hp and 428 lb-ft, and a 6.6-liter L78 with 481 hp and 501 lb-ft. The 5.7L displaces 350 cu in, benefits from higher compression and tuned intake, and can tow up to 13,700 lbs (Silverado) or 13,500 lbs (Sierra). Both engines use direct+port injection and will be built at Flint, with added capacity at Tonawanda and St. Catharines, and will arrive with the next-gen trucks later this year.
