Microsoft partners with CoreWeave for AI cloud computing dominance.

Microsoft has reportedly signed a deal with CoreWeave, a former Ethereum miner, to use its cloud computing infrastructure to support its AI-powered services. The deal, potentially worth billions of dollars over multiple years, comes amid the rapid growth of AI tech and Microsoft's rollout of several AI-powered services. CoreWeave pivoted its focus to cloud GPU computing in 2019 after spotting a hole in the market for competitively priced, scalable, and varied compute options. The firm recently extended its Series B funding round to $421 million, which it plans to use to expand its cloud infrastructure focused on AI, machine learning, visual effects, and rendering.
