Tesla is close to achieving fully autonomous vehicles, according to CEO Elon Musk, who spoke at the VivaTech conference in Paris. Musk said autonomy was the "main driver" of Tesla's market value. The company's shares rose by as much as 3% to their highest level in over eight months. Musk also called for artificial intelligence regulation, warning of the danger of digital superintelligence having negative consequences.
