Warner set to talk AI policy with OpenAI CEO Altman in D.C.

Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, will meet OpenAI CEO Sam Altman during Altman’s Washington visit, as the pair discuss AI issues; Altman is expected to brief the White House and Capitol Hill on the company’s next AI models, while it remains unclear who else will attend and what topics will be covered. Warner recently introduced AI legislation mandating pre-release testing of AI models.
