Delta flight diverted to Salt Lake City for maintenance issues on JFK to LAX route.

A Delta flight from JFK to LAX was diverted to Salt Lake City due to mechanical issues. After landing, an air slide accidentally deployed inside the plane injuring a crew member who has since been discharged. Passengers were relocated to a secondary plane which landed in LAX that evening. Delta apologized for the delay and stated that safety is their top priority.
