A Spirit Airlines flight from Detroit to Los Angeles made an emergency landing in Lincoln due to a suspected mechanical issue. All 188 passengers on board were safe, and the plane was inspected before it was determined that a different plane was needed to finish the flight. Spirit Airlines apologized to its passengers and arranged a new aircraft to continue the flight to Los Angeles.
