Jersey Requests Time Out on Congestion Pricing Deadline from Feds

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has requested an extension of the 30-day review period for New York's congestion pricing plan, which would charge up to $23 to enter Manhattan south of 60th Street. The state's Department of Transportation is conducting its own review of the MTA's environmental assessment and plans to submit its findings to the federal government. U.S. Senator Robert Menendez and U.S. Representative Josh Gottheimer have also sent a letter asking the USDOT and Federal Highway Administration to reconsider its draft "Finding of No Significant Impact" for the congestion pricing plan based on an environmental assessment conducted last year.
