Sydney Taxiway Near-Miss Involving Jetstar A320 and Qatar 777 Sparks Investigation

A Jetstar Airbus A320 taxiing to depart and a Qatar Airways Boeing 777 being towed to a remote area narrowly intersected on intersecting taxiways at Sydney Airport, forcing abrupt braking that injured a flight attendant and damaged the nose-gear connection to the tug. The incident disrupted more than 150 flights as authorities investigate, with the ground controller and tug operator reportedly stood down for testing and Jetstar saying its pilots were following ATC instructions while the cause is examined.
