Hollywood studios and directors guild agree on new 3-year contract.

The Directors Guild of America and major Hollywood studios have reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract, which includes a 12% wage increase throughout the contract and a 76% increase in streaming residuals. The agreement also establishes protections for members against being replaced by artificial intelligence and includes improvements in safety, creative rights, and diversity. The agreement will be submitted for approval at a special board meeting on Tuesday.
