Jason Sudeikis described it as a joy that Paloma Cinco, the real-life sister of Ted Lasso star Cristo Fernández, joined season 4 as Maria Rojas (Dani Rojas’s sister). Cinco reportedly helped pitch the idea and auditioned for the role, continuing The Independent’s note that the show often casts real-life relatives to boost on-screen chemistry; Fernández recently debuted as a professional footballer with El Paso, while season 4 centers on Lasso coaching a women’s team and Maria Rojas being a positive, energetic young footballer.
