Forensic Report Challenges Alec Baldwin's 'Rust' Shooting Account

A new firearms report submitted to special prosecutors investigating the "Rust" shooting in 2021 suggests that the gun would not have fired unless Alec Baldwin pulled the trigger. The report, conducted by a weapons expert, supports the conclusion reached by the FBI in its own examination of the weapon. Baldwin has consistently denied pulling the trigger before the fatal shot that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. While criminal charges against Baldwin were previously dismissed, they could potentially be refiled. Currently, only armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed remains charged in the case.
