Gypsy Rose Blanchard: Early Release for Abuse Victim Convicted of Maternal Murder

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for her involvement in the killing of her abusive mother, will be released on parole in December, three years before her original release date. Blanchard's mother subjected her to years of abuse, including unnecessary surgeries and medications, while convincing others that she was chronically ill. Experts believe Blanchard suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy. Her boyfriend, who carried out the murder, is serving a life sentence without parole.
