Shah is now scheduled to be released in August 2028. She has initiated payments towards restitution and hopes to resume life with her family and work. Shah's attorney has filed a motion to withdraw as counsel due to unpaid fees and expenses. Shah had previously pleaded guilty to wire fraud and agreed to forfeit $6.5 million and pay around $6.6 million in restitution.
