Jonathan Majors' Conviction: Marvel Drops Actor Amidst Fast Rise and Staggering Fall
Actor Jonathan Majors has been found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment in his domestic-violence trial, but was acquitted of the more serious charges of assault with intent and aggravated harassment. The charges stemmed from an alleged incident with his ex-girlfriend, choreographer Grace Jabbari, in which she claimed Majors assaulted her. The trial featured emotional testimony from Jabbari, surveillance footage, and conflicting narratives from both sides. Majors, who had been gaining fame for his roles in Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and the film Magazine Dreams, has been dropped by Marvel following the verdict. He now faces up to a year in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on February 6.
