Fashion designer Kathryn Marie “Katie” Gallagher, who dressed Lady Gaga and other celebrities, was found dead in her apartment in July 2022. The New York Police Department has classified her death as a homicide after the medical examiner determined that she died from acute intoxication from the combined effects of fentanyl, ethanol, and p-fluorofentanyl. Gallagher may have been the victim of a drug-motivated robbery. She was an internationally recognized fashion designer who opened her eponymous label in 2010 and her work was featured in magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, and W. Gallagher is survived by her parents, grandmother, and three sisters.
