Pop Smoke's Killer Confesses to Murder at 18 Years Old

An 18-year-old man admitted to fatally shooting rapper Pop Smoke during a home-invasion robbery in 2020. He also admitted to a home-invasion robbery charge and an allegation that he personally and intentionally discharged a firearm during the crime. He is expected to be held in a state juvenile facility until he turns 25. Two other co-defendants, who were also charged in the case, could also remain in juvenile custody until they turn 25. Only one of the four men charged in the killing of Pop Smoke is being charged in adult court.
