R. Kelly relocated to federal prison in North Carolina after surgery.

R. Kelly, the disgraced R&B singer and convicted sex trafficker, has been transferred to a federal prison in North Carolina. He was previously being held in Chicago, where he was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison after being convicted on three counts of production of child pornography and three counts of enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity. He was already serving a 30-year sentence on racketeering and sex trafficking charges after being convicted in New York in September 2021.
