Targeted Murder of Social Justice Advocate Michael Latt Shocks Hollywood Community

Social justice advocate Michael Latt was fatally shot at his home in Los Angeles by a homeless woman, Jameelah Elena Michl, who targeted him due to his friendship with a Hollywood director she had been stalking. The director, A.V. Rockwell, had obtained a restraining order against Michl after she sent threatening letters and messages. Michl forced her way into Latt's home and shot him with a handgun. Latt, who had connections in Hollywood and worked with prominent filmmakers, was known for his advocacy work. Michl has been charged with murder and burglary.
