Rapper Tory Lanez has been denied a new trial by a Los Angeles judge for shooting hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion in the feet and wounding her. Lanez was convicted of three felonies in December and faces up to 22 years in prison and deportation to his native Canada. His lawyers plan to appeal to a higher court. The judge rejected arguments that evidence was wrongly admitted at the trial and said that the exclusion of the disputed evidence would not have made a difference. No sentencing date has been set.
