"Trial Commences for 2 Men Accused in Murder of Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay"

Jury selection has begun in the trial of two men accused of the 2002 murder of Jason Mizell, also known as Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC. Prosecutors allege that the murder resulted from a narcotics deal gone wrong, with one of the accused allegedly gunning down Mizell in a Queens recording studio. The defendants, Ronald Washington and Karl Jordan, have pleaded not guilty and are also facing drug charges. A third person, Jay Bryant, has been charged in connection with the murder and has pleaded not guilty as well.
