Disney Plus Sets Release Date for 'Ahsoka' Amid Controversy

Disney Plus's Ahsoka, a series following the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano investigating an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy, will be released on August 23. The series is set after the fall of the Empire and is a return to Dave Filoni's beloved Clone Wars/Rebels-era character, now post-original trilogy in the Mandalorian timeline. The season will be eight episodes long, and the plan is for Dave Filoni to direct a giant, Avengers-like Star Wars movie combining all these characters from this era, including this whole cast, Mando and Grogu, and maybe more.
