TV producer Steven DeKnight has clarified his comments about Jenna Ortega, who he previously labelled as "entitled" and "toxic" for "publicly shitting" on the writers of Netflix's Wednesday. DeKnight explained that his comments were about breaking the trust on set and during the production process, and not about Ortega's creative concerns or performance. He also acknowledged that writers are on edge because of the impending strike. Ortega had previously said that she became "almost unprofessional" at times by "changing lines" on the set because she felt "very, very protective" of her character.
