John Leguizamo Boycotts 'Super Mario Bros.' Film Over Lack of Inclusion and Representation

The directors of the 1993 "Super Mario Bros." movie, Rocky Morton and Annabel Jankel, recently watched their film for the first time in 30 years and were surprised to find a passionate cult following. The movie, which starred Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo, was a box office bomb and landed on various "Worst Movies of All Time" lists. However, a recent midnight screening held at Quentin Tarantino's New Beverly Cinema "washed away the stain." The directors take "full responsibility" for the film's failure and regret not having a relationship with Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto.
