HBO Max rebrands and announces new content.

Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that it will rebrand its streaming service HBO Max to "Max" and merge it with Discovery Plus. The new service will launch on May 23 in the US and will offer a larger library of content from both platforms. Existing subscribers will see their profiles, billing information, and watch lists seamlessly transfer to the updated version. The price will remain the same as current HBO Max subscriptions, but there will be a new premium plan that will cost more than the standard two options. The new service will offer a range of new titles, including DC drama The Penguin, spinoffs of familiar franchises, and family and children's content.
