Spider-Noir Axed by Prime Video After One Season

Prime Video canceled Spider-Noir after eight episodes and one season, despite Emmy nominations and strong early reception (92% on Rotten Tomatoes) and 2.6 billion viewing minutes in its first six weeks. The series, starring Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly in 1930s New York, was the first live-action project from Amazon’s Sony Pictures TV Marvel pact, with a second series reportedly in development. It originally premiered on MGM+ on May 25 and then streamed on Prime Video, and the cancellation comes as Amazon continues to develop more Spider-Man-related titles.
