Diana's iconic revenge dress heads to auction this December

Princess Diana’s black minidress by Christina Stambolian—the infamous 'revenge dress' worn at a 1994 Serpentine Gallery fundraiser the night Charles admitted infidelity—will be auctioned by Sotheby’s in December, the first sale of the dress in almost 30 years. It previously sold in 1997 for about £40,000 to raise money for cancer and AIDS charities, and is expected to fetch between $150,000 and $300,000 as it tours London, Hong Kong and Geneva before a live New York auction on December 9.
