Bond’s Next 007 Needs Sex Appeal and Longevity, Casting Chief Says
TL;DR
Deadline reports that 007 casting director Nina Gold says the next actor to play James Bond must ooze sex appeal, have the acting chops, and be young enough to carry the role across multiple films, potentially three or four or more. Gold, who has just signed a deal with Amazon MGM, has been scouting successors for a while, aiming to find someone who can follow Daniel Craig’s five-film run. The piece also notes Gold’s past role in launching Ben Whishaw and her ongoing industry visibility at Cannes, where casting and production chatter continues.
