Don Lemon Claims CNN Fired Him Without Notice: "I'm Shocked"

CNN has "parted ways" with longtime anchor Don Lemon, who had become the subject of controversy while co-hosting CNN This Morning. Lemon took to Twitter to share that he was "stunned" by the decision and accused CNN of not informing him directly. CNN responded by stating that Lemon was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter. Lemon had previously undergone "formal training" as part of his return to co-hosting duties after making controversial remarks about South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. Lemon was also the subject of a Variety exposé, which made allegations of longtime misogynistic behavior, which he denied.
