"Tennessee Enacts ELVIS Act to Safeguard Musicians from AI Threat"

Tennessee becomes the first US state to pass legislation protecting musicians and other music industry professionals from the potential threats of artificial intelligence, ensuring that AI tools cannot replicate an artist’s voice without their consent. The bill, known as the Ensuring Likeness, Voice, and Image Security Act or “Elvis Act,” adds vocal likeness to the list of protected property rights in the state.
