Boss misses own day due to COVID.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has declared September 23 as "Bruce Springsteen Day" in the state. The announcement was made at the inaugural American Music Honors event, presented by the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music. Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfa were unable to attend the event due to COVID-19. The E Street Band has also been affected by the virus, with members Steven Van Zandt, Nils Lofgren, Jake Clemons, and Soozie Tyrell missing shows on the current tour. Despite this, the show went on, with Van Zandt, Sam Moore, Darlene Love, and Steve Earle receiving American Music Honors awards.
