Courtney Love blasts Rock Hall's sexist gatekeeping in scathing op-ed.

Courtney Love has criticized the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for "sexist gatekeeping" and lack of diversity in its nominations and voting process. Love listed several women, including Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Chaka Khan, and Kate Bush, who have been overlooked by the organization. She also pointed out that only 8.48% of the Rock Hall's inductees and nine of its board's 31 members are women. Love argued that induction affects artists' opportunities and that the Rock Hall needs to overhaul its voting process to properly honor women artists' contributions to popular music.
