Ed Sheeran defends himself in copyright trial with fiery testimony.

Ed Sheeran performed a mash-up of his songs and Marvin Gaye's during his testimony at his copyright infringement trial. Sheeran has been accused of copying the sheet music for "Let's Get It On" by the family of the song's late co-writer, Ed Townsend. Sheeran denied copying anything from the song and testified that his producers referred to "Thinking Out Loud" as his Van Morrison tune due to similarities and influence. This is not the first time either artist's music has been the center of a copyright trial.
