Female Rock Icons Slam Sexism in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Courtney Love has written a scathing op-ed in The Guardian, criticising the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for its lack of female representation. Love argues that the canon-making of the Hall of Fame is "sexist gatekeeping" and "purposeful ignorance and hostility". She also notes that just 8.48% of inductees are women and only nine women are on the organisation's nominating board. Love concludes by saying that if the Rock Hall cannot properly honour what visionary women artists have created, then "let it go to hell in a handbag".
