Tupac Shakur to receive posthumous star on Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Tupac Shakur will be honored with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the 'recording' category on June 7, more than 26 years after his death. The ceremony will be attended by his sister and guest speakers including film director Allen Hughes and Columbia University Professor Jamal Joseph. Shakur is widely recognized for his contribution to the arts, both for his music and lyrics and poetry, as well as for his activism. He has sold over 75 million records worldwide and has been inducted into the Hip-Hop Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
