The band had previously played the song in 1987 during their Joshua Tree tour. The performance was not included on their album "Rattle and Hum," but a music video of a soundchecked rendition was released. U2's residency has been extended until March 2024, and they shared a new live video of "The Fly" to promote the added dates. The residency will conclude on March 2, 2024, after a total of 40 shows.
