Uncovering the Untold Stories Behind 'Spinning Gold'

Director and screenwriter Timothy Scott Bogart, son of late record executive Neil Bogart, discusses Kiss' early history with Casablanca Records, the label that launched the careers of Donna Summer, Village People, and more. Bogart recreates a disastrous 1973 Casablanca launch party in his new biopic, Spinning Gold, which opens in theaters today. The film also features Broadway actor Jeremy Jordan as Neil Bogart and musicians playing the members of Kiss. Bogart and his brother have also created a stage musical based on their father's story that they hope will open on Broadway in spring 2024.
